I want to help! What Can I do?

First, read all the guidelines on this website, especially the Guidelines, the Call For Arrangers, and the PLANS tabs. Next, write us and tell us you're interested. We'll send you a short list of tunes needing arrangment (we have to do this to prevent duplicated efforts among our arrangers). We'll then guide you through the rest of the process.

Can I submit a composition or arrangement that's not on the list?

Absolutely! The only requirements are that it be either public domain and something most people will recognize and enjoy, or you must own the tune and be willing to assign us the copyright to your arrangement of it - AND it must be fun to play and to listen to.

How soon do you need my submission?

We don't have a set deadline, but the sooner we get enough arrangements, the sooner we can make these books available for everyone. In other words, no need for a super rush, but sooner would surely be better.

Do you have a template for Sibelius?

Sorry, at this time we do not. One of our contributors who uses Sibelius might develop and send us one, and at that time, we'll make it available.

What versions of Finale can you accept?

We can accept and read any version of Finale, up through the latest. However, if you want us to make edits AND send it back to you, we can only send it back in Finale 2008 or 2010 (to date).

What version of Sibelius can you accept?

As of now, we have Sibelius version 4; but we understand that (unlike Finale), if you have a newer version of Sibeius, you can save it in a format that we can read.

Do you accept inputs from any other notation programs?

No, not as the native file format from those programs. However, we will accept PDF or JPG files from any notation program. Please be sure to follow our formatting guidelines.

Do the arrangers get credit?

Yes. Absolutely.

Will there be any royalty payments?

Yes. They will be based on a percentage of sales.
